I've been here 10 days (District 1) and I'm looking for all those skin care products that I "assumed" I could get in HCMC.  I like to make sugar scrubs made from Shea Oil and if I can't find that, Coconut Oil.  Anyone have a clue where I can find this?  Thanks!

You can find some  information here:
http://www.dongcong.net/misc/SucKhoeLaV … dua-01.htm

and here:

Above links is in Vietnamese, but you can easy use google translator then guess the information, because the key information are name, address and phone number, not difficult to guess. But why don't you by fresh coconut to make pure coconut oil. It may better than the oil available in the market because It might not pure.

This is the link to find pure coconut oil. Never use her product before, but I really like the website, many people like this website and I trust this seller:

http://www.lamdepcungha.com/order-su-th … z2IL7HDVzW

Drag the mouse to the bottom of the screen, you will see some fields to put information. I will list in order to help you easier: 1. Number of bottle (200m/bottle and 165000VND/bottle), 2. Your full name. 3. Just put "Ho Chi Minh city", 4. Your email, 5. Your address you want the shipman bring the product to , 6. Your phone number, 7. Other indicators (if you want) such as name of your company or the building you stay, when you want to receive the product, but they just deliver from Mon to Sat in working time (means about from 8am - 5 pm), you should indicate that you need the seller's number

After submit information, they will send you the phone number, and you can call to ask more information you want.

Are you have any Vietnamese friends or co-workers, so ask them give you their opinion about the information in the website and think careful before decide to order. Because you are foreigner and you might not like handmade product like that. You can see the picture of the product, seller put oil into any clean bottle she has, it is handmade oil.

Shea oil is not native here so you have to buy finished imported products: have you tried The Bodyshop?

marybmoss

Thank you for your replies.  I did try the "Body Shop" but was very put off by the prices.  I was accustomed to buying Shea Oil for $10.00 USD for 16 oz. The prices at the "Body Shop" were $21.00USD for 3 oz.  That's why I was looking for the actual oil instead of a finished product.
