Living costs in Amsterdam

Sheebadeebs92

Hello,

I'm currently in the UK but have been offered a job in the airport as a hotel room attendant.
What is the day to day living costs in Amsterdam, would 122 euro's a week be enough for travel and food? This is the minimum I would have based on me working 22 hours that week.

Thanks!

Hi

The most expensive is rent ….. are you staying at your work?
The public transport is great here and affordable ( good service ) and riding a bike is a national institution here ( second hand bikes for sale ).
The supermarkets for food are affordable too and there are lots of local markets.
However, if you go out ( parties,  café …..) … that is quite expensive.
So it adds up to what life style you expect ….
If you don't need to pay rent, heating , water and use public transport or even better a bike … I think you can manage...

Good luck with your decision
Kind Regards
Hervé

So if 488 EUR is manageable, I take it that 1000 EUR would even allow some nightouts easily?
