Hi Ive just moved to amsterdam from the uk and Im strugglin to find a job in the hair salons here. Any one know of anywhere that is hiring? And also dont speakdutch yet, so preferebly one where the language barrier wont be a problem, tried Toni and Guy as well. thanks

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

As a citizen oif St Kitts applying for a start-up work permit to work in the Netherlands, you will need to learn to speak Dutch; the Dutch Government (IND) website has all the details; this link will take you straight to it. Assuming that you learn to speak the language, the Dutch Government will then have to assess on the viability of you opening a dreadlocs business. I've just done a quick Google search on the number of businesses offering this service in Amsterdam, I gave up at 20. Perhaps a better choice would be to contact the existing businesses and see if any are willing to sponsor you.

If you are determined to pursue opening your own business, then you need to speak to Kamer van Koophandel; they have a section on starting your own business in the Netherlands, this link will take you straight to it, they also have an advice team who have their own webpage on the website, this link will take you straight to it.
