Here's a quick update:

I know that soe may criticise this but excellent day today and Lynnder is knocked over with Gozo and the apartment we are in, location for amenities, view, size etc and she has even suggested that we do not look for anywhere else and we should agree to go long term here, subject to a few things to be done and agreed.

We are meeting and having lunch with our landlady tomorrow so we will explore the possibility of getting what we want.

An ex service friend of mine, Jim who has lived here for 3 years, is staying for a couple of nights next week and we will seek his opinions in terms of value for money.

There is an excellent hotel 10mins walk away (owned by the same people who own St Patrick’s at Xlendi), it has 3 swimming pools, one for young children, excellent menus and open to non-residents. The corner shop is just 2 mins away, village centre 5-10mins depending upon speed of walking.
Buses here are punctual (can’t say that for the main island) and Victoria is just 10 mins away and then on to Xlendi another 15 mins or so.

We are really considering ourselves as residents already, had several good chats with the locals and we just have to go back to UK for 3 months to finalise things.

Sounds good to me, hope it all works out with the landlady tomorrow, good luck
