Tabuk, Al Jouf, or keep looking elsewhere?

Hi All,
I've been looking for a teaching job in Saudi Arabia for a few months, and currently have these offers: University positions in Tabuk and Al Jouf, and language institutes in Riyadh, Dammam, and Khobar.

I was going to go with one of the university positions, as the others require split shifts and I've found better feedback online about the unis than the institutes, but I haven't found much on Tabuk or Al Jouf as far as quality of life. I have lived and taught overseas for a few years previously, but not in the Middle East, so I'd like to know a bit more about where I'm going before I move there.

I'd like to get a feel for where I'm going before I jump in.
Anybody live in, or have lived in Tabuk or Al Jouf? If so I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether I should go to one of these or wait for a job elsewhere.

Demographic info, if it helps: I'm a 32 year old single American male.

Thanks!

Both universities are relatively newly established and located in rural areas in the north of KSA.  You may check other alternatives, I highly recommend you address your inquiries to current faculties, their contact details may obtain from the university website. Further, If you think about visiting surrounding countries during weekends, such as Syria, Jordon, Israel, Egypt, they all experiencing sort of instabilities nowadays.
