Flooding of Belize River

in looking at purchasing property, flooding along rivers is a concern. Of course having property along a river is fantastic. I have been looking for the last few hours on the internet. I am trying to get specific location history for the flooding. Certainly there is general information.

Possibly there are local resources that can provide more localized information. Ideas and comments appreciated.

Hello Flyaway...look up on the internet "Mayan Seaside" in Belize. It is a development by Mr. Art Higgins, check the contact info and either call or e-mail him. He owns substantial pieces of ground here in Belize some of it along rivers. He's an excellent resource and generally willing to share information.
