Frisco boy in Munich!

Post new topic

Hello Everyone!

I'm a new arrival to Munich!  I'm from San Francisco, California and I moved here to live with my girlfriend.  I just got here last Sunday (1/17/2010).

I've moved here without knowing the language and without a job.  Some have called me crazy, but I call myself adventurous and ready for anything!  However, I am attending Goethe Institut starting next month, to get college level certification, but just the most basic to start.  I hope to continue with their school, but I need a job first so I can pay for it :)

Has anyone else had a similar situation as myself?  Learned the language while you were here?  Came without a job?  How did you overcome these situations?  Any advice for me?

Much love and take care!

Michael

Hi everybody, Can anyone advice me about the cheapest and convenient way to send money from Germany to Romania? I think I'm being ripped apart by western union and money gram. Counting on your help.

If the situation in Romania is any similar to Hungary, the cheapest way is for your recipient to open a bank account in Romania, send you his IBAN and SWIFT code, and you can transfer money from your German bank account within the EU for something like 1 EUR.

We are off-topic in someone's introduction thread, that's probably a new record low :-)

Yes indeed guys, you're :offtopic:

Welcome on board mikescrill !

I moved a couple of times without job, and knowing the language very well, but after a few months, I was integrated :)

All my wishes of success in Munich !
