Hi everyone.
To make a long complicated story short....I'm a (half) German (half) Haitian girl with German citizenship living in the United States for the past 13 years...I'm a green card holder and my husband and I plan on moving with our daughters to Germany....

I'm pretty much like any other American girl except that I have citizenship in Germany haha!!!....anyways...I'm really excited about being around my German family after so long.

I'm currently going to UMW and completing my B.A. in English education. I enjoy reading blogs and I'm just trying to prepare myself for the big move in a couple of years....which is why I'm here! Nice to meet ya'll :D

Hi,

Your picture suggests your husband is military. (sorry, I can't tell the branches apart)
If you guys go to Ramstein, it is going to take deliberate effort to experience any difference from the US :-)
But it is definitely worth it. (I used to live in Saarbruecken nearby) The German-French "border" area has bred a unique blend of people with German friendliness mixed with French easiness.

Yeah i'm interested in being near the french-german border..my father was military and I grew up in Ramstein.
My husband is Army but he will be out of the military before we move to Germany.
I have family living in Landau in der Pfalz and also in Bavaria. :)
