Women Bathsuit code in public swimming pools / beaches

Post new topic

freakyfingers

Hello,

How´s the dress code for women at beaches? 1 piece, 2 pieces (bikins), coveralls bathing suit? My wife is asking if she coulod bring her bathing suit collection for sale.

Mudman

There are beaches which are predominantly expat (with some locals who accept western beach attire)and there are some beaches which are mostly for locals. Your wife can bring her biknis and you'll find some superb beaches to enjoy the summer here. The only swimming pools you'll find are member only and based at expat compounds/camps, so again you can wear what you want.

Just East of Tajoura, about 70 mins drive from town, after all the 'tented' locals' beaches there are some nice places where the sand is clean and the water is clear, great for swimming.
Alot of expats go West towards Sabratha, good beaches for bbqs and again clean sand, good swimming. Last summer was awesome, I can put up with winter when we've got that coming again.

I know its winter but in the summer its good times, there is a beach for foreigners called "bahar ejnebi" not sure of the location exactly but i know its about 30km out of tripoli headed towards misturata, its just past a gas station. they have a great beach front that you have to walk down to, entrance is hiddenish, have to pay for parking and entrance but its well worth it.

This was a nice beach if you got there early, unfortunately about 1500hrs, local rich boys would turn up on their jet skis, drinking beer and being @ssholes. They killed a swimmer and the beach was shut down. Hope it reopens this year. The entrance is right next to the gas station.

I wasn't aware of this? It's too bad. There shouldn't be jet skiing there to begin with.  But that's the place. It's just so comfortable how it's closed off from the rest of Libya haha just to get away from the garbage and crazy traffic.

Hope it re opens

Hey

In the area between Janzor and zwia ,,there s a place call Syad and Joudeam , where u can find clean beaches with clean water , and it s great for scuba diving

after the accident of jet skis in the beach they reopen it as they set more strict rules , and defiantly will be open this summer.

For those considering going to the Czeck beach in tajura next to the gas station, baaaaaaaad news:mad:, it's all rubish and debris now, they've demolished it, I saw it yesterday when coming from khoms.
