Any tips on how to get there? Should I just book a tour and do a "chi chi tunnels/temple" day?

Hello! I actually took this tour through Sinh Tourist last week and was very painful! We left at 8:30 am and were back by 7pm! The reason for this they stop on the way and do a detour at a ceramic factory and plan to hit the temple during mass. So we waste all that time...Yes you can book both but takes the whole day. IT cost 257k VND.

its easy to do it by urself! taking bus number 13 to Cu Chi, transit to bus number 79 to cao dai temple then bus back then just stop cu chi tunnel on the way. then get the same bus number back to cu chi bus station then bus number 13!
try to make to the temple by mid afternoon cos they have daily ceremony!
enjoy.

Be aware if you go via the tunnels tour, you won't get very long at the temple.
