Looking for work in the Philippines

As mentioned on my previous message, I am attemptingto move to the Philippines, perferrably Davao City or Manila. I am searching for work in either to get established and then make my move. I understandthat I must do this in most case before I am allowed to move there. Can anyone assist in helping me? Thank you

Nitephantom,
When you move here, it is on a Tourist Visa. With that you are not allowed to work. If someone will offer you a job, they need to file for your work visa from Immigration and then a work permit from Department of Labor. You are not allowed to take a job that can be filled by a Filipino.
Also, unless you have some speciality, you will make Filipino wages.
I do know some call centers like americans since they do not need to be trained on pronunciations.

I do agree with bruce but please take into consideration that Philippine wage is much much lower than what you are probably used to. Ensure that you have a good savings and that the salary that you are going to get there is not going to be your primary source of income...

Do you speak any other language besides English? If so, our company needs multi-linguals and the pay can be commensurate, or rather, negotiable based on the language you can speak. That should give you income which is way above average.
