Need advices to run business for foreigners

Hello everyone,

My friends and I are going to run a Vietnamese restaurant for foreigners. We are confusing about the location as the good place is super expensive.

I am writing to make a survey for all of you about "the good location for foreigners" as you are expats . I know that District 1 is on the TOP, but have you ever considered to go a little far away from downtown? I see some restaurants are doing very well although they are in small street or even alley. As a local, I am ok with it as long as the food is good, how about you?

I can't show more information about this idea as it is still on paper.

I greatly appreciate your idea and support.

Regards,

Kelly

Depends on the restaurant and the style of food.

Other options.

Consider Thao Dien in District 2. Phu My Hung in District 7.

There's plenty of room at Saigon Pearl for another restaurant. But then you'd have to compete with other restaurants there.

There was a restaurant (Turkish Food) that was located on Tran Nao street in District 2. They have since relocated to District 7 for a better location.

In Phu My Hung area, a restaurant called Scott & Binh's does very well. It's like #2 or 3 ranking on Tripadvisor. Food is very good, but very far from Dist 1. However, the restaurant is very successful.

Thank you Phi Long,

We are planning to run a Vietnamese Street Food Restaurant, not a fancy one.

District 2 is a good idea, but not in Saigon Pearl (super expensive).

May I ask where you are currently living? Is it a good place for a street food restaurant?

If its Vietnamese Street Food, there's a lot of it on Tran Nao st. in Dist. 2. But check it out for yourself.

There should be an empty space available at this address. 264 Trần Não, D. 2

I wish there was some good foods around the ferry terminal. I always seem to find myself hungry and waiting there after a long flight :-)
