What's on your suitcase?

Just curious!
When you travel for a short period of time (days, less than 2 weeks), what do you put in your case? ;)

Underwear (duh), a book or two, two changes of clothes...depends why I'm going where I'm going, maybe more.  I always forget my toothbrush and toothpaste, so that is never there, hairbrush (this is pretty boring, sorry).  Camera, journal, paints/sketch book.  Am I with my kids here?  Lets say no....maybe Catalan homework to study, address book, tampons, pens, bandaids, pencils, a fan....I'm running out of stuff.  Not a whole lot I guess.  Oh and nail scissors, shampoo, lip goo for the plane ride....hmmmmm that has to be close to it.

Strangely, I bring more books and headscarves than clothes! I don't know why!! :P
And always pen and paper if I'm not travelling with my computer. I'm a writer, can't even possibly think I couldn't write a line!
Once, in a plane, I took the paper bags (you know, for the sick ones?) and wrote all over. I'd forgotten my draft book :")

I take only essencial stuffs, to have place to bring back food.
Or to buy some souvenirs (which can be food also).

In fact except clothes and toothbrush, i have only a camera.
