Hey everyone,

I am currently considering a move to Taipei from Hong Kong where I currently reside. I am curious to hear about life in Taipei, expat living, getting around, just life in general. Look forward to getting any advice, tips,or opinions on life in Taipei?

Cheers,

Christian

As an American living in Taipei for 29 months, I can assure you that you'll find life in Taipei fun, exciting and enjoyable.  Taipei is a very modern city with many things to do.  Since I've been to Hong Kong myself twice, you will also be pleased to find that Taipei is much less crowded.  For me, the only downside has been that I do not speak Mandarin and many people here speak little English.  But for you, I presume this would not be a problem.  You would love Taipei!!
