HOW SAFE IS PAYPAL?

Post new topic

j.echo

Hi GUys! I'm j.echo, Filipino expat currently living in jeddah.

Im planning to buy books online, but for safety concerns, i'm thinking of creating a paypal account.

how safe is it? and do i have to pay annual dues for using it?

THank you!

I use Paypal time to time and I believe its pretty safe

You dont need to pay any annual fee, they just add some cents to your transaction as handling fee and thats it.

Feel free to use PayPal

That's great! Thanks man!:)

you handled 2 of my concerns already! hahahaha.....

where have you been?! you should be posting more often...

If you want to be safe, don't create a paypal account on your main bank account. Open a separate bank account and register that with paypal.

oh, i guess I was a bit right in using my credit card rather than my savings account... even though its near zero...:D

but I guess its better to switch to a new and separate savings account,

thanks!

You will need a credit card either way.

It's safe but the service charge bothers sometimes; espcially on large sums. It's 6-12% in my experience which is no kidding.

Yes, you've to link it to your credit card rather than the a savings account.

its safe

if you send as a gift there is no charge but you have no buyer protection

ive sold a bunch of cars, cameras, bought a metric ton of stuff with paypal
never had a problem, always got money back if there was a problem with seller, so no complaints here

Thanks guys!
