Hi all expatriates!

i'm Nicola, an Italian guy like any others living in Mauritius with his family.
I'm thinking about how many italians could be here in Mauritius to live?
How many of them are already working and taking great scores from their job..
So, i'm thinking again, why don't we organize a meeting for us!
A meeting for all Italians here in Mauritius !
To share our differents lifestyle, our needs, to help each other in this beautiful island called Mauritius.
Let me know, what do you think about my idea!
Thanks,
Bye
Niko

Hello Nico,
I am Italian too, but I guess it's better to chat in English, out of respect for other readers :)
My boyfriend and I are planning on coming down to Mauritius for an exploration trip around September for about two months, and then decide whether to move over.
We'd have several questions about life and work there, do you think you could answer some?

When we come down for the exploration trip, it'd be nice to meet up with locals and people who live there already!:)

Hi Niko,

I guess this group will only be for Italians? I am a South African expat living here and have a great love for Italy, the culture, people and of course the food. If non Italians can join, let me know.

Cheers,

Hein

Hi Niko,

good idea - but same question. Why only the italians? I was german, 14 years here and now I am Mauritian ( nationality ) whereas native Mauritians still see me as a foreigner for sure. ( LOL ).

Re-Consider the nationality aspect and let us know.

Bye

Michael
