eCommerce opportunities in Shangai

I am looking for advice: I am a seasoned eCommerce expert and which to move to Asia over time. In the first years that is not feasible on a permanent basis for personal reasons.

Hence I am looking to put my expertise at work as a liaison/bridge between Asia and Europe, whereby I would be present for 2 months in Asia (Shangai and Taiwan are on the wishlist) and 1 month in Europe. As I often play a program management role, I strongly believe this could be of value.

Any recommendations in regards in contacting the right people for finding an assignment (as a freelancer) or an employment?

ecommerce in China is heavily dominated by Taobao / Alibaba. You would need an indepth understanding of this platforms to provide valuable insights for companies.

I would agree that linkedin is useful, try tianji or ushi for the Chinese versions of linkedin too.
