Mellieha, Qawra, Buġibba & St. Paul's Bay — HELP?

Post new topic

SMeddie

I have just been looking at all these areas but I have failed to decide which is best to live!

My Rental Budget is between 400 – 500 Euros for a three bedroom (Possibly with a seaview)

I want to get better value for my buck in terms of accommodation satisfaction and quality.

All I want is somewhere friendly and a place I can call home with the Mrs

We are fairly a young couple between 26 – 28 yrs – We love the nightlife but that is not an epitome for our life. We just want somewhere nice and peaceful.

Any suggestion..? I just want to hear from the have-been of these areas.

Of the areas mentioned - Mellieha without doubt. But then I am biased..having lived in it for 4 years....but it s based in my findings having lived in all the areas you mention.....

Thanks - toonarmy9752

To add to that -

Do you think my budget would be good to get a rental!

Any British settlers there? - I hate being alienated (I am Black-British) - Not that it matters, but sometimes you just need a place with some nice people to talk too.

I was leaning towards Bugibba because of the British community.

yes i just looked at a couple of centre of village brand new fully furnished 2/3 bed flats in th 400-500 range yesterday for some friedns..so it is possible...

yes there is a quite large ex pat community here and we are close to all the best beaches too.

For us Bugibba and St Pauls are old and dated and quite dirty so we shipped out of there after 6 months.....Qawra we know quite well too - thats a little cleaner and there are some nice flats available- in its favour is the nightlife there theres lots of variety....

are you both British EU

SMeddie

I would really appreciate it if you could point me to posts/Ads for ‘’Centre of village brand new fully furnished 2/3 bed flats’’ looked as some useless ones of late.

i am mindful of the likely need for you both to work - mellieha may not be ideal in terms fo transport its the furthest north you will get and local transport is ok but can take an hour or more to get to work areas...unles you intedn to use a car....so think about it.

We will be buying a car (after a few months of arrival) - But I am a Self-Employed Football Agent/Lawyer - The commute will be bearable as long as we find somewhere nice and within budget.

Thanks
