Hello

I am moving to France and was wondering whether anyone had experienced moving things back abroad? I only have about a 150Kg and would prefere moving things by air freight.

Thanks in advance for any precious advice!

Ship by Air, don't even think about sea freight.

You can get in touch with DHL/Aramex/Agility and any one of these can give you air freight pricing for your shipment.

Thanks Siddiqi I will follow your advice.

I think I'll also check with Afriqiyah, it seems they provide theses services too to individuals.

Maybe you could post here the replies of those companies

Ok!! Just went there today for Paris:

- DHL 200 kg 2774 LYD 3 days, door to door and even package if want (and possibility to deliver in any other destination) VERY PROFESSIONAL GUY AND NICE (located burj al fateh ground floor outside near fedex west wing)

- FEDEX 200Kg 2400 LYD, door to door (and possibility to deliver to any other destination but count 3 LYD more per kg, Paris being Zone A it's 12LYD/kg) PROFESSIONAL AND NICE (located burj al fateh ground floor outside near dhl west wing)

- ARAMEX very complicated but cheaper 2.25LYD/Kg +fixed 300LYD processing fees, need authorizations plus a leaving the country stamp, does not deliver to all destinations, it's a Cargo delivery, so need handling at the freight airport at departure and reception PROFESSIONAL (Located Burj Al Fateh ground floor inside west)

- AFRIQIYAH 2.29 LYD/kg (as long as more than 45 kg) should check in luggage and fill in the customs documents at freight airport (near international airport), all destinations as long as Afriqiyah goes there. VERY PROFESSIONAL GUY ALLTHOUGH LOCATED IN A MESSY BUILDING (located in front of Libya's Fair Omar Mokhtar street, building called Al Waha buidling it's being renovated near Libyan Arab Airlines) (3rd floor at the left then at the right)

- LIBYAN ARAB AIRLINES the people responsable for freight are in a middle ages office located Baghdad Street (third street on the right after mosque when driving on Mohamed El Mgharyef Street), have no clue on anything especially the partnerships with other airlines! anyway I think It's about 8LYD/kg via Air Algeria or Tunisair.

- TNT are located supposedely in Dhat El Imad building but didn't have time to go there

- AIitalia and KLM (didn't have time to ask either)

- UPS and Agility don't know where to find them.

That's all for today!!

Additional Info:

- BENTRACO: AWESOME services, great price, different options Door to door, door to port etc etc, most destinations. Great explanations on the whole process.

- ALITALIA: Horrible service, the agent had no clue on anything, asked me to go to the airport to have the info then finally understood that it's Libyan Arab Airlines that handles freight for Alitalia

- TUNISAIR: same as ALITALIA

- AIRALGERIA: nice service and explained the partnership with Libyan Arab Airlines, just need a letter from the airlines then pay and handle the freight with Libyan Arab Airlines (cf Libyan Arab Airlines previously) include all destinations where Air Algeria goes!

- KLM: average level of service, mentioned that they have no freight services but that there is a company at Meytighé Airport that represents Air France freight. It's called Gulf Pearl Aero something like that. Anyway the latter also said they don't do freight for people but via Fedex, DHL etc

- AGILITY: Good explanations but still no return on pricing all thought asked lots of questions compared to the others!

- TNT: still awaiting their return....

I think I'll chose Fedex or Bentraco or DHL.
