Hello,

I am a maths teacher and I was offered a teaching job in Hawalli. My salary is 800KD pm. I have also an appartment allowance of 100KD pm.
Can someone please give me some info about the cost of living in Kuwait?
I am single and very confused will all the thrends here.

1. Rent (my flat with 1-2 bedroom or shared flat with one flatmate) pm
2. Food expenses pm
3. Others (electricity, water and telephone-internet)pm

Is there any chance to save some money?

Welcome Andreas - this has been discussed here many times in the past. If you want to share, 100KD might be just enough. For food expect to spend at least 100KD per month. Electricity and utilities are usually included in the rent. Internet will set you back 15-20 KD per month. Everything else, as legacy says, depends on your life style.

Andreas, good day. internet can be cheaper, most buildings have a shared wifi/LAN which is about 5KD a month, if u have ur own land line it will be faster and the same price, but paid annually. i have a 2MBit connection and i paid 50KD per year.

u save money by being smart, but to be smart u have to get here first, make a few mistakes and learn from em.

but yes, u can definitely save from 900KD.
