Hello DocHollywood!
I am Macedonian, but since this is a question that can involve more people on this blog, I will continue in English. I am living in the Netherlands for 7 months already. I was finishing my University here and I just started my internship in Amsterdam one month ago.
So far, I have to admit that I had difficulties with finding an internship and a job, just because of my big-time-sucking Dutch-language skills 
So if you know only the English language, I think it will be easier for you to find something in Amsterdam, since everybody speaks English over here more than Dutch.
Anyway, good luck with your job search, and spread the news if there is something good happening
