Moving in June-ish

Hi all... just wanted to introduce ourselves to the group.

We are English, now living in Gibraltar (two years), with a further two years in Spain in between.  We kind of feel like seasoned migrators now, but the truth is we simply haven't found the place feels like home to us yet.  So given that moving within the EU is relatively simple, we endeavour forth!

Most of our children have left home (and some keep coming back - does anyone have any tips on how to stop that from happening?) but our youngest will be coming with us.  She is 14 this school year, going on 30!  Naturally she is a our biggest priority, getting her settled quickly, along with schooling and clubs, etc.  Any advice on this will be gratefully received but I'm going to try to be more specific on the schooling forum.

We will also be bring our trusty family dog who adopted us while we were living in Spain.  A bit of a mutt, a bit smelly, but as loyal as you could ever imagine!

We are still of working age, but as our travels have taught us so far, the best laid plans of mice and men..!!?!  We are creative, we are free spirited, and we haven't starved yet! So who knows what we will end up doing.  Our first priority is to enjoy the summer!  We will think about what we are going to do after that.

Look forward to meeting some of you in the near future :D

Hi there Penny, good luck with your move, we got married in Gibraltar, nice place, cost of living was quite high though, hope you manage to find somewhere here you are happy with, do have a look at Gozo too, I am sure you will like it. I can't really help you about the children, one of mine lives in Holland and the other in England and my husband's in America so maybe you should ship them off to other countries, lol :D

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome :D

Welcome,

I've only been to Gibraltar once, for a day, I think if you're happy there you'll easily be happy here.

Personally I prefer Malta, don't think I could live on Gibraltar ;)
