Emigrating from England to Guatemala

Post new topic

Isabellacleo

Hello,

I am hoping to emigrate to Guatemala/Central America.

I would love to hear from anyone from the UK about the emigration process, and what is required.

Is it possible to get a work permit easily in Guatemala?  Are you allowed to run a business?

I have seen a three bedroom apartment/possible restaurant advertised for $200,000.  Is this really a realistic price.

Would be grateful for any info.

Thank you.

it is not easy to get a work permit...'must have a Gautemalan 'sponsor' who assumes financial responsibility. The price of the property may be okay, but do your homework...paladin123.wordpress.com or guateliving.com   or examiner.com/x-22480-central-american-travel-examiner will give you more information. I can put you in touch with Brits who have worked here or who have left. M

Thank you very much, Paladin.

At the moment I'm just starting to reseach it all but I may come back to you about those contacts.
