Folks,

I am planning on to go for Umrah soon. I have an arm with few tattoos on it.

What should I be expecting?

TheLegendLeads

It would be better to consult a religious scholar.
As far as I know they must all be removed completely.

Freshlikesushi

LOLOLOL serious question or trolling?

AISHATOPE12

Its not neccessary they should be removed, once you have regretted the action i.e tattoo and you promise not to go back to the same action then it suffice, I mean its enough, though you can plan in nearest future to remove it if possible, but it should not disturb your religious obligation

Freshlikesushi

you may want to ask a saudi religious scholar about that one.  i got hassled for having tattoos and im white.  i cant imagine a muslim not getting hassled

The problem is twofold. Religious obligations and religious police obligations :) That's why I suggested him to get rid of them completely before he moves out.

if your going for Umrah with your true intention no need to worry about your tattoos, all you have do to is to cover it with cloth or a skin type packaging tape, simple as that. The most important is your purpose on going to Makkah.:)

sh3hryar

Thank you all for your replies.

Would I get into trouble if a religious police stops me?

JasfurJQ

ofcourse not, as long as you don't do anything that will caught their attention inside the holy ground. :) In Sha Allah.

ahelpfulsaudi

check with your local Imam, or have them covered

suribhai

Better consult a doctor and get some fake arm bands. That would cover your tattoos. Or use colored tapes to cover it.

Momo Ajmi

You are good brother you won't get in any trouble I have seen and know some people with tattoos they went there with nooo troubles at all good luck inshallah get back safe :)

sh3hryar
