Hello,
I will be arriving in Buzios next month & would like some recommendations for hotels...as well as anything else to do there.
Thanks so much!

The Pousada Geriba is clean and simple, located right on Geriba Beach, they also serve breakfast and lunch with the room fee.  I also recommend (if you don't have a car) arranging for the hotel to rent you a dune buggy.  They are only $R80 (about U.S. 40) a day and cabs in and out of the central part of town are about $R20 each way.  There are many many amazing beaches to check out so a car is really helpful

i wouldn't pay 20 reais to take a cab. the vans are simple and efficient in buzios and cost 2 reais each way. safe and secure... travel like a local.

Thanks for your help!  Sorry for my late reply...but I was in Buzios. :-)  Had a great time!  Ended up choosing an inexpensive pousada...pousada vila pitanga.  It was rated #1 on Tripadvisor, but it was just ok.  The woman who owns it is lovely, and the pool is great, but other than that our room was just ok.

We visisted Brava Hotel & La Pedrera...both were beautiful.

We did have a car, which was great, so we could travel to many beaches.  We did the touristy schooner/boat ride & it was great!  Only 35 Reis per person, 2.5 hours on the boat, free caipirinhas, soda & water, great music.

Thanks again!
