New rules will facilitate Temporary Work Visas a bit

Post new topic

James

The Ministry of Labor reported on Friday (17), in the Diário Oficial de União (Official Gazette), two resolutions to facilitate the entry of foreign professionals into the country. The first, allows the progress of the process and obtain a work visa before the applicant provides the documents that prove his/her work experience and educational qualifications translated by a sworn translator (tradutor juramentado) in Brazil, and also implements the electronic registry of foreign companies seeking to operate in Brazil. The applicant will now be allowed 60 days to present these documents. All other necessary documents must still be submitted at the beginning of the process.

The second measure provides that the government may grant work permit to obtain a temporary visa to those enrolled in postgraduate education institution abroad intending to come to Brazil to work on their holiday in a company based in the country. The validity of the visa will be up to 90 days without being able to be extended or made permanent.

No really big deal, but it will help a little bit.
