How do you like to spend your free time?
going shopping? going to the cinema? chatting? playing computer games going to the disco? playing sports?reading? relaxing?

If you had more free time, what would you do with it?

If I had more free time I would visit Candon.

that would be a good idea :P

Yes, when we get to Candon it is only about one more hour ride to our house in Santa, Ilocos Sur.  I remember a lot of nurses or medical students getting off the bus in Candon in the early morning when traveling south to Manila airport.

Perhaps if you like traveling and learning about other cultures on the internet you should check the ex-pat forum on here for Ecuador, especially if you are learning Spanish.  Ecuador is a very popular place for Americans to go to live, there are about 4,000 Americans in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador and more planning the move every day.  You can live well there for aboutt he same prices as in the PHilippines.

Why don't u try to visit manila?

I've been to Manila, very crowded and terrible air in 2008.  Has it gotten any better?  I prefer the capital of Ilocos Sur, Vigan, an old Spanish town with modern conveniences such as Jollie Bee, beautiful women and halo-halo.

Cindy, we had my wife's family members, 5 of them, visit us this weekend from Augusta, Georgia, a 10 hour car ride.  They spent the whole weekend telling me how much better Candon is than Santa, Ilocos Sur.  They especially like the nice sandy beaches at Candon.  Of course they still own property in Candon even though they are living and working in the USA.  I asked them if they were trying to sell me their house in Candon, but they just laughed and said they are saving it for retirement.

Candon is indeed a very beautiful town in Ilocos Sur. It is a 4th class city and the center of business in the province aside from Vigan City.

I sent you a message in your inbox regarding a property.

thanks
