hi im planning to go for a long trip there,and would like some good suggestions,im looking to settle down in visayas or mindanao,i dont like to be close to foriegners,i think differently from them,i prefer being with the locals,i will bring my gf and a maid,looking for 3 bedroom apartment,any suggestion?

U will have to go very very deep province to do that    which means  less infrastucture

at the momment there is a global warning on people travelling to mindinao

now i lived in mindinao for many years    in a lot of different cities and provinces      never had a problem...
still   keep in mind  it is the kidnapping capital of this country  and u do have to be well   lets just see   keep  one eye open.
Sure  i know heaps of people that live there  never have any problems   but I also  know heaps of people that live there and the constant "arent u scared" that filipino's ask u on a daily basis    does tend to drag u down...
lots and lots and lots of amazing places to live here   also  i would just like to point out   sure  its safe  for most who live there    but  when i was living in gensen     the day after i left  my next door neighbor was kidnapped and his daughter.
And the reason i left  is i felt like i was being watched all the time   but  thought it was just paranoia.....?
I have never felt like that here in visaya's
