importing a car from Europe

Hi,

I'd be soon moving to Mauritius this end of August.
At the moment I am still in Singapore... I did not do my research yet about importing a car from Europe, but I heared that the import duty is 50% of the car cost?? Plus government tax?? of which is 15% of the import duty... As you seems a local can you confirm this is true?

Also is there good page directory you know of yacht clubs, and expat's yacht circle in Grand Baie or Pereyberre?

For the second part of your question, there's the Grand Baie Yacht Club, but anyone can become member if the criteria and conditions are met...not only expats.
