Hi all,

I am looking for a Korean grocery store in HCMC (preferably near district 10).  The lady and I want to make homemade kimchi but the local markets do not sell mild pepper flakes.  Any tips would be appreciated.  Thanks.

There is a well known market on Tân Sơn Hòa street, next to Phạm Văn Hai market (Ward 3, Tân Bình district)

Otherwise, there is Little Korea near the airport with all sorts of supermarkets, restaurants, massage parlors,.. You find them around Thang Long street or Hau Giang street near Hoang van Thu Park.

I can see they have ready made Kim Chis in Lotte Mart Supermarts. As to taste, I have no idea of the authenticity since I am not familiar with Korean food.

@Anatta: Thanks for the tip!  It's not too far off for my place.

@Sweetpants: I have seen the kimchi at the supermarkets but prefer to make my own.  Thanks.

Do you bury it in the ground for months?

Aquameo

No, man.  I have a fridge.
