Hey all!
I will be in Beijing for the next 2 months for an internship. I...actually don't know anybody here! And I speak VERY little Chinese.

Anyway...I was wondering if there was anybody out there who wanted to do tourist-y stuff with me?

This weekend is a work weekend, so we all should have Monday-Wednesday off, right? Does anybody want to go to the zoo with me next week to see the pandas? Or go to Xi'an?

jaegarnx

hi there, how do I contact you? I'm Sam and my email is Kellermanx@gmail.com

Hi sillyputty,

Welcome to Expat.com! :)

I am sure you will get lots of new contacts. Do not hesitate to participate on other threads on the Beijing forum as well.

Thank you,
Christine

Hi,

I'm a foreigner living in Beijing (been here 13 years now).
Was born in the US but grew up in Switzerland.
Sure, I wouldn't mind doing some touristy things next week.
If interested just reply to this message.

Cool ! What is your availability on Tuesday or Wednesday?

I'm really interested in the pandas! Haha. And also eating...if there are any must-see touristy things, let me know! I've been to the Wall, Tiantan, Gugong, Tiananmen, the Olympic Park. So yeah...trying to get all the super touristy things out of the way.

I'm in the Chaoyang district around the 4th ring....if that's relevant at all?

Wednesday is good for me.  I advise going to Wangfujing and trying (eating) scorpions.
Do you have Weixin? (We Chat).

sillyputty

No :(. I don't have an active smartphone here :(.

I saw those scorpions! But I didn't try them. Hahaha. If you say I should, then I will.

Anyway, I'll message you my phone number!

limaygolf

Ok sure,

If you want to go try some sometime just message me.
