Hi schaz

Hope you are from O&G. I got an offer of 600 OMR from Towell Engineering as Project engineer. Furnished family accommodation, utilities, car, family medical insurance all will be by company. I have a kid of 2 yrs old. with 600 omr I need to take care of my food, internet, mobile expenses for now & schooling of my kid will start probably after an year.

How will be the salary hikes annually in O&G sectors? Is the company good?

Please help me in deciding whether to consider.

Yes, Im in Oil&Gas, however there must a lot of people, else than me here at EB who belong to OG sector.

Towell Engineering is not really an oil&gas firm. They have a product supply division with a civil/structural/other contracting profile as well. But they are not at all into Oil&gas exploration or services.

The offered salary (assuming all the other expenses have been taken care by the company) seems OK, however based on your experience, you can somehow negotiate a bit. You can have a comfortable preliminary lifestyle with considerable savings till your baby reaches the school stage.
