50 inch 3D TV from Currys UK - How best to get it to Malta?

Post new topic

SMeddie

Hi Guys!

I have been contemplating on buying a 50 inch 3D TV from Currys UK (On sale) and sending it via DHL to Malta.

What is the best way to do this? Any tax to pay?

Thanks
Meddie

no tax to pay

mantonas

That's what I thought Meddie, you won't need to pay any taxes.

What happens if it gets damaged in transit? Do DHL cover the cost of the new TV and transporting it to Malta or is it Currys that are sending it via DHL?
It seems a lot of hassle but I suppose it depends on what you are saving.

The Bush one was £368 already in the beginning of 2012, so dont know if thats a good deal.

Well, I just bought a Finlux 47 Inch Smart TV full HD for €580 here in Malta. So, I reckon it wasn't a bad deal.

Thanks guys

GnG - A lot has been cleared up there-!

My plan is to buy the TV and then ship it / posts it via DHL or UPS.

‘’tearnet’’ - Its only £78 for shipping and the TV is £519.

Antonio – I should put in an offer for yours and you save me the hassle… LOL.

michael78 – Is that the Bush ‘’tearnet’’ is talking about?

Thanks

I don't know how much DHL charges but I would suggest you check out
shiplowcost.com. That way you can compare costs before you decide! I have used them a couple of times to get things from shops that do not ship to Malta.

What about amazon or eBay?

I see that it came as a link, the service I meant is provided by Shiplowcost, run by Express group of Malta :)
