Hi all
Can som1 suggest good beaches in Muscat region.

I liked atmosphere around PDO beach a lot, but you cant really step in to the water with people who dont know swimming.
The corals are really bad in that area.
Is ther any other beach like that without the coral problem?
Thank you

There are so many beaches around and all are nice.

The beach of the Yacht Club and Oman Dive Center are nice ... For free open beaches, Saifa, Bander Khairan, Yiti Beaches.

Also, The road to Sur has a very nice white sand beaches as well but it will require driving a bit off Muscat.

Yes we do, but on our own or within a group of friends.

Mariner,
I have a deep and emotional bond with Oman waters...  :)

Trust me, you will never find a sealife as beautiful as in Oman. I use to dive every weekend under water, exploring different beaches. You should visit "Sifat Sheikh Beach", which is approximately 25 kms from Qantab area (If you're fond of swimming). Secondly, there exists a fairly rough beach at the Ashqara region (Near Jalan Bin bou Ali) but that is 250kms away from Muscat. Masirah island is another attraction. And when it comes to Salalah, its all about sea !!

In short, Oman is a heaven for swimmers and divers.
