Need Advice on Accomodation and Travel in Malaysia

Hi ,

I am moving to malaysia this month as part of an onsite assignment given to me
the address given to me is Menara LYL, Jalan 51A/223,
46100 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

Can somebody help me out , asin suggest some places to live (safe and cost effective )
travel places near by

Currently am geting 8500 k per month is that enough for a decent life there ? am assuming there will be a tax of 26 percent
so lets take 6500k after tax dedcutions

Do you mean 8500 ringgit? If yes, then I think you can have a decent life in Malaysia. I'm living in Malasia for short time, but what I noticed so far is that the food is relatively cheep and you can share the flat for around 2000-3000MYR. Of course it depends how do you spend your money. If you are interested in living costs in Malaysia you can see the link.

How long you have been staying there?

and i believe malaysia is blessed with natural beauty ..

Hi Vineeth,

Menara YTL is just next to federal highway, very strategise place, you may live anywhere in PJ, it isconvenient to travel.

I hv an Indian friend who work here before, he live somewhere in Kelana Jaya with his family before. Let me check the place and the rental and I will let u know. Thx

Hi veneth!

Welcome .

It's certainly decent with that amount. It's good idea to find a decent condo nearby as traveling to Petaling Jaya
Will be very hectic.

Petaling Jaya is centre for all amenities thus it will
Easier for you to travel around with uber / grab car.

You can find a decent condo between 900-1500 and can be a lil cheaper if you are sharing .

Do let me know if you need assistance in finding accommodation .
