IT Solution Architect Salary in Muscat

Hi,

Greetings...

I was working in India as System Consultant in a MNC IT System Integrator, Now I have an offer from a SI Company in Muscat.

I have about 16+ Years of Overall Experience and 12 Years in IT Sales & Pre Sales.

Wish to understand, in Muscat What would be an average Salary for a Pre Sales Technical Consultant.

Now I have Been offered OR 700 as Basic Salary, OR 180 as Technical Allowance, After I buy a Car, Company will provide Car Allowance of OR 120 and Fuel Allowance of OR 35. till the time I get a Car on my Own I will be getting only OR 880 Per Month.

Would this be a fair offer from my potential Employer?

My Salary in India Was Close to 1600000/- Per Annum before tax.


apart from the said, after 3 Months of my probation, the company provide Hard Furnished Family Accommodation and air fare for Self and Family.

Family: Self, my Wife and My Son about 10 years Old Studying V Std in CBSE School.

I was Given to understand Schooling and commutation of my KID would be expensive.

We are veg Family. our Lifestyle in India is Liberal not very lavish.

Dear Mr. Nagarajan,

The salary is not bad. But not good either.

Just for your info,Indian driving licence is not valid here. And getting a driving licence is a nightmare and expensive.

In a std contract, school fees will be borne by the co.

Presume medical is also covered for u and ur family.
That is expensive here.

Thank you for your valuable inputs.

I have one more question about the Driving License, What if get an International Driving Permit from India, is it valid for one year in Oman, does Oman Police Department accept the IDP issued by Indian Govt. in that case I can rent a Car till I get the Driving License of Oman.

for an IDP here in India we need to spend approximately about INR 8000 - INR 10000.

please suggest me.
