Hello everybody

I am a non-EU citizen and intend to go to Germany for a language course. I have a one-year old baby and wanted to know if he will be given a visa to accompany me as I will be getting a study visa based on the invitation from the institute. Your help/advice will be much appreciated as I have searched on the net and embassy but cannot find any information that confirms that my little baby will be able to accompany me.

Many Thanks,
Aartee

If you need a visa to enter Germany, so does your baby (assuming he has the same citizenship as you).
You can apply for it at the German embassy, just as your own visa. Of course it should be a visit visa, as the baby will not be studying (like you).
The embassy can also give you further information on what kind of visa is possible and which documents are needed.
If your baby has no own passport yet, get one first. No visa can be given without a passport!
