Does anybody know if you still can go abroad with a one entry visum? I am going to Thailand for 5 month, but i do not know if i will go abroad. And when i want to buy a visum, i need a travel schedudel, but because i do not know what and when i can't make a travel schedudel. So i think about buying a one entry visum.

Hi Liesbeth,

If your visa is a multiple one, you will not have any problem. If it is single entry you can go to Thai Immigration and get a re-entry permit. I think it costs around 1000 THB for single entry and 3600 THB for multiple. If you leave Thailand without re-entry permit , you cannot use your visa again and can only enter with the 30-day stamp.

Hi

I assume you are talking about a Thai visa?

What type?

If its a tourist visa you would need a double entry version to get 5 months in Thailand. Enter, stay 59 days extend for 30 days at your nearest Thai immigration post for 1900 Baht. Exit at day 29 of extension, at nearest international border.

Re-enter Thailand(5 mins later if you like) but within the validity date of original visa and use second entry of your tourist visa.  Want to stay more than another 60 days then repeat the step of extending at Thai Immigration for 1900 Baht.

Obtain double entry tourist visa at Thai embassy/consulate in your own country before travel.

I just read your OP again:

You mention "abroad" do you mean travel outside Thailand e.g. Malaysia? If so you could do as I suggested above but make sure you re-enter Thailand during validity of your TV.

BTW you don't get RE-ENTRY PERMITS with tourist visas, they are for people staying here long term with "an extension of stay" granted for retirement or marriage to a Thai for example.

When you're still in Holland use this information. http://www.thaiconsulate-amsterdam.org/page3/page3.html

But don't you have a student- visa? That'll save you a lot of hassle.

Anyway, I would get my triple entry in Holland, and do 2 visa-runs in Cambodia by bus. Or double entry, one visa-run to Cambodia and for the last month fly with Air Asia back to BKK (from e.g. Penang)

PS for a triple you need tickets proving you are entering Thailand 3x (book airline tickets)
