Hi,

For the ones living in Liège, what would you suggest to discover the region?

When you have friends or family visiting you, where do you go with them? What are the must-see places in Liège, the tourist sites?

How to visit the region in an original way? Any unusual or unknown place to recommend?

What would you suggest for a couple of days of for a week of holidays in Liège?

Thank you in advance for participating ;)

I think normally the best things to see in Liege are the annual events which happen on the streets. For instance the Outremeuse festival, the 14th July celebrations, the Christmas markets/village, the Jazz festival, the Citadel night (not tried), the beach party, the october fun fair, and so on. There always seems to be things going on - you turn a corner and unexpectedly find yourself in the middle of something which you didn't even realise was a planned event (maybe they don't market these things too well to people from outside Liege, those who grew up here tend to know what-happens-when, without having to see a poster for it first).
