Hi I'm new to this forum ...

I am a UK citizen and work as air crew. I am fortunate to be able to visit Mauritius on reduced rate air tickets and have friends here so have been visiting each month and stay for two weeks. I believe I can spend a total of 181 days a year in the country. Is this per calendar year or a rolling year?

Secondly when I reach the 181 day in a year limit is there a way I can still visit monthly until the new year starts. For example I have spent a total of 138 days since january 2013 in Mauritius (leaving and returning each month) so realistically only have three more two week stays available this year which means I can't visit in November or december :(

If anyone can guide me I would be hugely grateful :)

181 days is the maximum you can stay without a Residence Permit.  You can come for last two weeks of December, but you will need to leave and return after 1 January 2013 to get back another 180 days in 2014.  No other solution, I fear.

Thank you for the information. Sadly that is what I thought but ever hopeful that I may find a solution. Thanks again :)
