You're in Vietnam.  Your friends are visiting you in Vietnam.  So introduce them to a little Vietnamese culture.  Sleep on the hard floor!  They'll get sore backs but they'll love it because it's authentic Vietnamese experience. 

There's a straw mat that you can buy cheap at any market.  These costs around 100,000 VND ($5) and you'd be helping the rural/poor handcraft makers.

Just head to Ngô Gia Tự,Q.10. That street is full of furniture shops. Try to bargain
