Anyone live in Belize that's not Cayo, Carozol, the Cayes, or Hopkins

Post new topic

terrific

I have gone through masses of past posts, covering many subjects and it seems there are the 4 areas in the subject line, and very little else in Belize.
I am going to be 25 miles from the nearest big town. The local village is half a mile away and there is regular local bus service from there. I will be in Belize from next Thursday(23rd) I am only staying a few days this time and My younger son is going to be living on the place we are renting for 12 months to check out that it is the place we want to buy(probably within the lease period) for our retirement.
The rest of the family will be down to check it out in November when the weather is better in that area.
My son has told his mates his mum is dumping him in the jungle and leaving him there. Maybe I should have done it sooner:)
Do any posters live in this type of area or am I just Insane as my sister believes.
I am not really, I do know Belize and have my eyes wide open.

terrific, Where exactly are you staying in Belize? Mile marker? Village name?

terrific

Mile 25 Hummingbird the nearest village is Community. My friends who live in Cayo drove down to scope out the land said it exactly on the marker.

terrific, Hummingbird Community is a nice area of Belize. It is on the line between the Cayo and Stann Creek Districts but considered Stann Creek. This marks the beginning of the wide valley of citrus growing on down to Dangriga. I live at mile 32 Hummingbird Highway up in the mountains. 5 Blues Lake National Park is 4 miles off the HH there. Welcome.
