Lae is very tropical. Can be very hot and very rainy.
Its known for its potholes and on the good note for its fresh green cheap vegetables. Its PNG's industrialised province.
It connects the highlands provinces to the islands. It is the biggest busiest port in the country!
Generally compared to Port Moresby, Lae is better both in terms of veges and shopping. Except if you love sea food, fish and all, Port Moresby provides these sea monsters. Aha!
To the point, living conditions in Lae is pretty affordable.
