Hi Bill,

Unfortunately I've never been able to find a central location or site that would have most info in one place. We live two hours North of Manila so are far from your search area. Costs are generally about the same most places for things except for housing.
Having a boat sent down from Manila or Subic should be an easy task. One would just have to locate a qualified Capt to sail it down there.
Best thing is to spend as much time here as possible before any decision on a move.
Be sure to never rent or send any deposits to anyone, including real estate agents etc. It would most likely be gone and you would have nothing to show for it.
There are many expats living in that area so hopefully others here or on other expat site will have better information for you.
