Hi there,

The only legal way to get Indian channels in Malaysia to subscribe to ASTRO, here is the link FYI
multimedia.com.my/freecall/astro-package-price-list.php

Or

You can subscribe to a nice internet package ( preferably UNIFY from telecom Malaysia) as they dun’t have any downloading limits. And you can connect your TV with computer to watch online Channels “ cheaper way to do it you know 
Here is of the many links you can find channels online   livetvchannelsfree.com/hinditv.html

I recently found out that Astro has introduced Fibre Optic networks and the rates are better than UniFi. In fact, you can have a bundle of home phone + broadband internet + IP TV for 250 MYR.

The question is how good is quality of their broadband internet?

Their TV channels are fantastic (includes the Indian channels too) and better than TM's HyppTV. So seriously considering switching. Does anyone have experience with Astro fibre internet broadband?

This is a list of available channels on ASTRO Be_yond (multifunction packages)

I agree with Raza.. I also did a bit of research and seems like the best option to me too.. More choice of channels but might have to compromise with quality a lil bit..!
I heard Singapore is much better..
Here in Malaysia, Astro has got the sole rights to broadcast HD channels..!

Yes, there are lot of Indian channels, Hindi, zee, Tamil you can subscribe..you gotto know the package. But i think a bit costly..

JadooTV

Hi All,

This can be done through Jadoo TV. It is kind of a set top box that acts as a center to get you all the Indian shows and video on demand.
Also you can feed in your own custom channels and add in more streams to the Jadoo set top box. I have been using the same for about 4 months now and am pretty satisfied with the same. You may search for Jadoo TV on the internet and should be able to find it.

In the market, it is available for about 900 RM. However, I am moving out of KL. If you want I can get the same to you at a lower price. It comes with a one  year warranty out of which 9 months are still remaining.

Please let me know if you need the same.

Thanks
Nikhil

Hypp TV, (TM) which only went into TV back in August, has quite a few in their packages, at reasonable price. Premium and Ruby are the names of their packages I think.

Batranikhil

Yeah, Hypp TV is an option, but only Sony max and UTV are available on it.

Astro only has one Hindi channel.

Checked out this page: http://www.astro.com.my/whats-on/channels Huge set of channels available for Astro's ByondHD service (http://www.astro.com.my/services/ByondHD.aspx)

Now HyppTV (https://www.tm.com.my/hypptv/pages/about.aspx#personal) from TM's UniFi has a less amount of channels (https://www.tm.com.my/hypptv/Publishing … unifi.html)

Not a single telugu channel available though :(

I also looked at their broadband services. Here is a good competition between these two providers.
Service Name: Astro IPTV
http://www.astro.com.my/iptv/homehttp://www.astro.com.my/iptv/info.aspx

Great pricing and packs available to choose
http://www.astro.com.my/iptv/packagespricing.aspx

Now try and compare above with TM's Unifi VIP offers below:
https://www.tm.com.my/Home/Broadband/un … s-VIP.aspx

Astro has done that too for us: http://www.astro.com.my/iptv/newspromot … oiptv.aspx
Unless a better third provider shows up, I am going to stick with Astro IPTV combo at RM 156.88
