G'day,

was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to get to Baguio from Melbourne, Australia.

Webjet (and QANTAS) spit the dummy when I try to put Bagiuo into the destination.  Any ideas on what would be the closest?

Cheers

Howdy,

Air service to Baguio was stopped completely several years ago due to the safety of the approach into the airport without needed navigational aids for pilots. That leaves you with flying into Manila and then a bus to Baguio. Only other possible (closer/easier) option is to fly into Clark (Angeles City) and then, still a bus. Personally, I would recommend flying into Clark and then by taxi to the Dau bus station a short distance away. From there to Baguio by public bus is from four to five hours...
Another option from Angeles to Baguio is Swagman Fly D' Bus. Cost is more but is faster and is safe.

Hi, I think the nearest airport is located in Clark Pampanga, but Im not sure if Webjet and Qantas has a flight directing that area and when you reach Pampanga thats about 3-4hrs drive going to Baguio, If theres no direct flight going there, you arrival point would be NAIA terminal which is located in Metro Manila.

Metro Manila is about 6-7Hours drive going to Baguio.

You should check your arrival Points.

Hope this helps.

Sure. Be happy to help. :) another tip, If you are going to ride a cab, going to baguio, check there meter rate. Airport taxi (Yellow Color Cabs) are more expensive than the regular cab (White color cabs) and its 4 hour drive better contract them to take you to the place you're going to. find the cab that has a radio so you know the cab is safe especially if its your first time here. if it is, better pretend you've been in and out of the country already. so you wont get fool by them. :)

Take care mate.

Cheers.

G'day again, and thank you for keeping my butt out of the fire.

Sure as ... heck, would have grabbed the Yellow Cabs, not knowing about the white taxis.

Hi,

Suggest you try Air Asia, I believe they fly into Clark(Pampanga). The other airlines like Qantas, PAL, Singapore and Malaysian only fly into Manila. Flying into Clark will save you a lot of time getting up to Baguio. Good luck....

Thanks much for that Casey, but seems now I'll be going to Tuguegarao, so will have to check out how to get there.

But have 8 months to plan, so should have something figured out by then.

Cheers
