How many flights home does your company offer?

Annual flights are the norm. Worth trying to see of you can get a second one though.

One return flight is normal.

2 is asking a bit too much don't you think?

Annual flights are indeed the norm. I too do not recommend asking for more. There are times when airlines have great offers and you could purchase tickets for the extra trips during these times. This is what I do since I travel back home to visit my parents frequently.

If there was an opportunity to discuss further with your husband's employers, I would use the opportunity to ask for something else that would truly make a difference.

Also subscribe to frequent flyer points and always try to use that airline. The points will quickly add up

Ok thank you, that is fine if it is normal. My dad worked in Italy and we had as many flights as ee wanted but I guess Italy is a bit closer than Bahrain.

Does 900bhd for accommodation and 200bhd for a car sound ok?

Both sound reasonable.

However, try to push for a little more for the car if you can. You can always rationalize the higher amount requested by quoting/referring to the cost of maintenance, in addition to the monthly rental/bank instalment. Fuel is cheap anyway.

BD900 is fine and an average family allowance
You can get a brand new Kia Rio for BD160 a month so BD200 is also fine.

Brilliant, thank you. We will need to get two cars, so when I am working out the cost of living I will need to add in a car for me to drive. From what I have heard about the driving out there I think I want a BIG car!

1 flight is normal if you are lucky enough to be getting everything else paid for - you only get 2 flights if you are on single status.

The car allowance is fine as is the rental allowance.  Tooranco are great - they were fantastic with us yesterday after a particularly unpleasant experience.  Highly recommend them.

Agree with the comments above. Depending on your husband's grade, you might get 2 flights a year but the norm is one flight a year.

All of the allowances mentioned seem reasonable also.
