Saudi Cuisine

Post new topic

Hi all,

Where should I head to get authentic Saudi cuisine (sort of food you would get in a Saudi home).

I am based in Riyadh.

Thanks.

Most of dishes (not only available commercially, but also consumed at their homes) are NOT saudi dishes. For example kibsa, mandi, madbi etc are from Yemen; shwarmas are from Turkey; Most bbq stuff from Lebanon; fool falafel etc are from Sudan. That's the reason you will find the term 'saudi cuisine almost non-existent. And of course, for the best of above food items, you can visit respective cuisines.

What about kabsa?

TheLegendLeads

I mentioned it above Allie. It's kibsa from Yemen.

Alliecat

oh, I thought you were referring to 'kibbeh'.

So nothing exists like Saudi Cuisine?

To the best of what I know: No.
