To live (and work) in Dominican republic, you don't have to be citizen, you just need residency. You can get more info about all on this page https://www.expat.com/en/guide/central- … -republic/

Welcome to the forums!  If you would not mind,  please introduce yourself using the thread for introductions, that way we know more about you.

Citizenship - you received good info that it is not needed to live and work here. But, if you want it there are two ways to get it - the first is long - you first get temporary residencia, then permanent residencia and after a number of years you can apply for citizenship. It is not guaranteed.

The second way is to marry a Dominican and then you get your residencia and then citizenship. Again it is not guaranteed but it is almost automatic. You still pay and jump through hoops.

Welcome and why would you want a Dominican citizenship?

As others have said you certainly can live here for as long as you want with your residency.
