Moving to Casablanca and wanting to meet other Australians

Post new topic

Krysgroen

Hello Salam.

My names Krystal and I will be living in Casablanca from December 2013.
I am married to a Moroccan man and we have a one year old boy. My husband was here in Australian with me for a few months but had to come back to morocco due to family reasons.
So we have now decided to live over there. I have been to morocco before, back in early 2011.  I stayed there for a month and we got married.
I am a little nervous this time , as it won't be like a holiday. I might have to work, and learn the language, all I speak is English and only a few Arabic words. I really don't want to isolate myself and not get out either. I have a really good net work of friends here in Australia and I'm worried I may not  have anyone when I'm in moroc to talk to.
Does anyone have any Australian born children that have come to live with them in morocco? If so do they socialise with other children?  What are your experiences?
Also I would really love to meet anyone who can help me with getting to know the culture from an expect point of few.
Anyways I just want to meet nice decent kind people who will help me make this transition, to make life in morocco more comfortable for my son and I and also to make some good friends.
Feel free to msg me.
